UniCam PRO brings advanced features for surveillance cameras, including Pan, Tilt, and Zoom (PTZ) controls for PTZ-enabled cameras. This feature enhances the functionality of your surveillance system, offering dynamic control over camera movements and focus. This guide provides an overview of how to use PTZ controls and manage presets in the UniCam PRO version.
Accessing PTZ Controls
- Requirement: Ensure you have the PRO version of UniCam, as PTZ controls are exclusive to this version.
- Using PTZ Controls:
- In the camera's player controls strip, tap on the PTZ button.
- You'll be presented with a joystick interface for moving the camera and zooming in or out.
Setting and Using the Home Position
- Home Button Functionality:
The Home button in the PTZ control strip sends a command to the camera to move to its preset Home Position.
Updating Home Position:
- To set a new Home Position, long-press the Home Button until you feel a haptic feedback.
- The camera's current position will be saved as the new Home Position.
Managing PTZ Presets
- Accessing Presets:
- Tap on the three dots in the PTZ control strip to open the preset menu.
This menu displays presets pulled from the device.
Using Presets:
Selecting a preset from the menu moves the camera to that specific position.
Updating Presets:
When a preset is selected, tapping on the three dots menu again provides an option to update the currently selected preset to the camera's current position.
Adding New Presets:
- Go to the specific camera channel details.
- Choose the 'PTZ Presets' option to add new presets.
Tips for Effective PTZ Control
- Familiarize with Joystick: Spend time understanding the sensitivity and responsiveness of the joystick for better control.
- Regularly Update Presets: As your surveillance needs change, consider updating or adding new presets for quicker access to important views.
